The Museum of English Rural Life (@TheMERL) is a small museum with a big Twitter personality.
After going viral in April 2018 through a photograph of a sheep (the 'absolute unit'), the museum has gained 140,000 followers, and in 2019 alone its tweets were seen 150 million times (with zero ad spend).
This was made possible by exploring content marketing strategies and adapting them to complement the museum's goals.
